It was lovely to meet today, in real life, two of the personnel featured in the Rainbow Warriors exhibit. We absolutely had to get a photo of them next to their portraits!
Rainbow Warriors tells the stories of 25 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender, former and contemporary personnel from the New Zealand Defence Force. Getting the chance to meet and speak with two of these personnel brings the larger-than-life photographic exhibition into a sharp and personal focus. Thank you Major Little and Corporal Blackman for being a part of this incredible exhibit, for sharing your stories and your journeys with all of us, and inspiring us to appreciate the strength in our diversity.
Much love and respect from all of us here at the National Army Museum Te Mata Toa, and good luck for your Invictus Games preparations, Ma’am.
