Description
This silver coloured metal hat badge for The New Zealand Scottish Regiment is based upon the star of the Order of the Thistle. An oval circlet sits atop foliage fronds on the star shape, which “Mo Rich Mo Dhuthaich” (My King My Country in Gร idhlig/Scots Gaelic) is written, encircling a thistle and a fern to represent Scotland and New Zealand. Surmounting is a crown and the words “Scottish Regiment” on two scrolls. At the bottom of the star is a scroll with “New Zealand” written on it.
It is fitted on the reverse with 2 screw back pins.
