How to use a Coghlans can opener:

1. Unfold the can opener blade completely so it is at a 90-degree angle to the handle.
2. Hook the notch of the can opener onto the outer rim of the can. The blade should be on the inside of the rim.
3. Use your thumb to push the handle forward, forcing the blade to cut into the lid.
4. Continue tilting the can opener back and forward, lifting it and repositioning it to make a new cut, moving slowly around the lid.
5. Continue until the lid is detached. Be careful of sharp edges.
6. Wash your Coghlans can opener after use
