Description

On one side of the coin in the centre circle is the insignia of the New Zealand Army on black background. In black (upper) and white (lower) outer ring inscriptions are above NEW ZEALAND ARMY between two ferns and below NGATI TUMATAUENGA.

On the other side in the centre circle is a kiwi on black background with background of stylised fronds. In black (upper) and white (lower) outer ring inscriptions are above TŪ KAHA TŪ TIKA TŪ TIRA TŪ MĀIA between two ferns and below COURAGE COMMITMENT COMRADESHIP INTEGRITY.
