Each corps or regiment in the New Zealand Army has its own insignia, called a corps badge (also known as a cap badge or hat badge), to be worn on berets and headdress as a way to easily identify the wearer’s corps.

The corps badge for the RNZAMC features a golden Rod of Aesculapius, a serpent-entwined staff wielded by Aesculapius, the Greek god of medicine. It is surrounded by a golden laurel wreath and surmounted by a golden St Edward’s Crown. Below is a silver scroll inscribed with “Royal NZ Army Medical Crops”. The corps badge is fitted on the reverse with 2 screw back pins.
