Authentic Royal New Zealand Dental Corps (RNZDC) bi-metal corps badge, brand new.
Each corps or regiment in the New Zealand Army has its own insignia, called a corps badge (also known as a cap badge or hat badge), to be worn on berets and headdress as a way to easily identify the wearer’s crops.
The corps badge for the RNZDC features a silver shield in the centre, surrounded by golden fern leaves and surmounted by a golden St Edward’s Crown. The shield has four quadrants showing Saint Apollonia (top-left), the Southern Cross (top-right), two entwined serpents and a short rod of Aesculapius (bottom-left), and a kiwi (bottom-right). Below the shield is a golden scroll inscribed with “Royal NZ Dental Corps”. The corps badge is fitted on the reverse with a cotter pin.
