Shortlisted for the Childern’s and Young Adults Book Awards 2021, This Is Where I Stand represents any soldier, the book is about time and memeroy, how things chane, but sometimes stay the same. Philippa Werrry weaves this masterfully. Kieran Runhart’s illustrations are hauntingly beautiful and bring a sense of movement and activity, even though the central figure of the story is of course a statue.
